Murder On The Dancefloor garnered the attention and appreciation of many back in the day and will now be performed at the upcoming BAFTA Film Awards later in the year.

The song was featured in Saltburn, a British film directed, produced, and written by Emerald Fennell.

Soon after the release of the movie, the song became one of the most discussed moments in the history of the cinema, especially this year.

Consequently, the song and the star have become a viral sensation, taking the track onto the international music charts once again.

22 years ago, the song enamored many across the globe and quickly climbed a number of top music charts.

Now, the pop dancefloor classic has seen a significant resurgence as new and old fans begin streaming the track online.

It has also become a trending audio for numerous people who are now using it in YouTube videos and TikTok and Instagram reels.

Moreover, the song is marking its own set of new achievements on YouTube, Spotify, as well as TikTok and has managed to find success in America as well.

Murder On The Dancefloor has also made an entry on the Top 100 Billboard charts for the first time ever and continues to climb.

BAFTA Film Awards, which are considered to be the biggest night in film in the UK, will be hosted by David Tennant.

They are all set to take place at the Royal Festival Hall, located at Southbank Center, on the 18th of February.

It is here that Sophie-Ellis Bextor will be welcomed on stage to perform her song live as the ceremony progresses.

Consequently, the audience will be able to enjoy a night full of entertainment, even from the comfort of their homes.

BAFTA announced that the awards will be broadcast live on iPlayer, BritBox, as well as BBC One, so audiences in the USA, Canada, Finland, Norway, South Africa, Sweden, and Denmark can also view it.

In other news, Priscilla Presley has written a heartfelt memorial for Lisa Marie, her now-deceased daughter.

The widow of Elvis Presley took to sharing the moving tribute on what would have been the 56th birthday celebration of her daughter.

She posted a black-and-white image of the two of them, which was taken when Lisa was only a teenager.

The 78-year-old used a sweet pet name, Yisa, which she designated for her daughter a long time ago, and added that she missed her.

The daughter of Priscila and Elvis passed away in January 2023, soon after a bowel obstruction caused her to go into cardiac arrest.

The singer/songwriter had gone through a stomach stapling surgery to lose weight a couple of years before her death.

As a result, she had scar tissue and various adhesions around her abdomen, which created a bowel obstruction.
