Boygenius Take A Break After A Couple Of Secret Shows

In recent news, Boygenius has taken to embark on a hiatus from making music after performing at a couple of secret shows.

The group held a concert at The Smell, which is located in Los Angeles, and claimed that it was going to be their last show for the foreseeable future.

The supergroup, which comprises Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus, and Phoebe Bridgers, is all set to be taking a much-needed break from the spotlight.

According to Lucy, the event at The Smell was their last, a decision that all three of them had agreed on beforehand.

As the set came to a close, Lucy took to remarking that Not Strong Enough would be their last song. Seconds later, Julien chimed in to let people know that they would be back.

Back in November of 2023, Phoebe gave an interview to GQ and discussed the future of the group in the future.

In her words, she was afraid of ending the band and not being around the girls when going for performances across the country.

She went on to provide insight into how the three of them had been severely depressed after the end of their tour in 2018, which is why they believe that this break will serve them well.

The Cool About It trio has currently been nominated for a total of six Grammy Awards, the event for which will be held on the upcoming weekend.

The nominations for the group’s songs include Album Of The Year for its debut album, The Record, as well as various others.

The hiatus came as a surprise to many, as the band had been going around holding a series of secret acoustic shows consistently at the venue in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, the group has been granted the honor of being granted its very own limited-edition guitar.

This led to the band members becoming a part of the exclusive musicians in the industry who had their own guitars.

These include Billy Duffy, Chet Adkins, Stephen Still, and the now-deceased George Harrison.

All of these popular artists joined hands with Gresch, a well-known brand for musical instruments, to come up with the personalized Limited Edition guitar, Boygenius Broadkasterjr.

After seeing the limited-edition musical instrument, all three members were in awe of how it came out.

Consequently, the trio went on to say that they wished this had been their first-ever guitar when they first started playing.

The signature guitar has been specially designed to cater to a wide range of musicians. These include seasoned players as well as beginners hoping to tap into the dream.

Where the instrument is concerned, it has various innovative features, along with Electromatic Filter’Tron pickups, custom boy genius Fingerboard Inlays, vintage-style Trapeze Tailpiece, Nickel Head Badge with its own Boygenius signatures, as well as a Boygenius logo placed at the back side of the headstock.

As per the announcement by the band, fans can purchase the limited edition band quite easily from Gresch itself.
