In recent news, Selena Gomez has revealed that she will soon be putting out a new single, titled Love On.
The actress/singer took to the social media website, Instagram, to make the announcement of the release, saying that this will be the first song that she will be making for 2024.
Where the date is concerned, the musician added that fans should expect the track to drop sometime later in this month.
The 31-year-old captioned the announcement, asking people to wait till she turns her love on, seemingly quoting the lyrics of her forthcoming track.
As part of the announcement of her song’s release, Selena shared the cover art for it.
It featured the Disney star in a luxurious white bathrobe, sunglasses, and a hair towel at the top. The singer can be seen leaning against a window frame as she looks out at the ocean.
The upcoming track from the musician will be her first release this year, and since she put out her track, Single Soon, in August of the previous year.
Single Soon had been produced by record producer Benny Blanco, who also happens to be Selena’s current boyfriend.
The track went on to debut at Number 19 on the charts of Billboard Hot 100.
Single Soon and Love On are believed to be a part of the unreleased fourth studio album from the singer. However, this is primarily just speculation since the singer has not revealed any details up till now.
Previously, the popstar teased that she has been spending time in the studio and working on a new album. This forthcoming album, as the star hinted, could also be her last.
According to the 31-year-old, she does not believe that she has the energy to make one more album. But she will not be quitting the spotlight. Instead, Selena is going to choose to focus on acting.
The Only Murders In The Building star made this revelation during one of her appearances on the SmartLess podcast last month.
In her words, she has always wanted to be an actress and had never intended to build a career as a full-time singer.
However, she disclosed that what started out as a hobby for her, soon turned into a career and she was propelled toward the music industry.
According to Selena, she does not believe that she is the best singer, but she loves telling stories through her music and enjoys being able to sing.
In other news, Jennifer Lopez has revealed that she will be heading out for her This Is Me…Now trek later in the current year.
The veteran performer made an announcement saying that she will be starting off with her tour in North America in the summer to support her new album.
The trek will take the musician across the US and kick off on the 26th of June, only to end on the 31st of August.
In addition, it will include several stops in over 30 cities, such as Miami, Boston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York City.
