James Bond Composer Hits The Road

In recent news, David Arnold, popularly known for composing James Bond’s songs, is now going on a unique tour.

The iconic British film composer has scored no less than five films in the franchise, including Stargate, Godzilla, and Independence Day.

He has now decided that he will be taking his compositions to the road in a tour titled ‘David Arnold – The Songs: Live’, which will take him and his band to places like never before.

He disclosed that this will be the first time in his career that fans will be able to see such a tour since the star promised that the performances will be distinct and first-of-their-kind.

According to the composer, he will be sharing secrets of his crafts with fans who purchase tickets to his shows and give them a couple of surprises.

David’s storied career has taken him to numerous places and brought him great success. He composed music for TV’s Sherlock and Good Omens as well.

The composer has also collaborated with artists such as Pulp, Massive Attack, and Bjork on different occasions.

Moreover, the 54-year-old has bagged the achievement of being the Musical Director at the historic 2021 London Olympics Closing Ceremony.

At the event, he collaborated with Spice Girls and The Who to give an unforgettable performance.

The tour will kick off on the 19th of November at the Lafayette in London and then head on to Newcastle, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Manchester.

Consequently, David will wrap up his performances on the road in Cambridge on the 26th of November in a week.

While announcing his tour, the star divulged that one of his earliest childhood memories is that of music and songs.

According to him, music is the finest art form of all, and he enjoys composing more than anything.

Talking about the process, the 54-year-old added that it brings him joy to see songs being conceived, developed, and then delivered.

Consequently, he added that from the moment they are delivered, his songs no longer belong to him.

In his words, they are a part of the fabric of a show, film, or another person’s record. Thus, they belong to the audience.

While discussing his tour, David added that it is a way for him to revisit the early years of composing his songs.

By performing them and talking about them, the musician hopes to reclaim them, even if it is just for an evening, and share the stories that made these songs possible.

This will also be the first time that the star will perform these songs live. The composer added how people tend to hear his voice all the time in the pieces he creates but have never listened to him perform in person.

The 54-year-old’s first-ever intimate tour will be directed by Lucy Noble and presented by AEG.

According to the statement released, this tour is going to provide personal insight into how the artist came up with his brilliant pieces.

The organizers have also promised the treat of a lifetime to the audiences who attend his week-long shows.
