In a shocking turn of events, Grimes, the popular Canadian musician, has decided to take Elon Musk to court for parental rights over the three children that the pair share.
She filed a petition in a court in Los Angeles, saying that she wanted to establish a parental relationship with her children.
The filing comes only a couple of weeks after it was revealed that the 35-year-old and the 52-year-old also have a third child together.
Through the request, Grimes is hoping to have the court identify who the legal parents of the child are, given that they are unmarried.
As of now, it is unclear whether Grimes, real name Claire Boucher, is hoping to enter into a co-parenting agreement with the former chairman of Tesla or seeking child support.
Sources have revealed that filings are currently sealed. Meanwhile, Elon has not made any comment regarding the petition filed by the musician.
The pair first started to date back in 2018. However, their relationship was rocky for the next three years.
The couple finally decided to break up for good in 2021, a year after they welcomed their first child, named X Æ A-Xii, in May of 2020.
In the year of their breakup, Elon and Grimes welcomed their second child, a daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl, or Y.
In September of 2023, it was revealed in the biography of the former chairman of Tesla that Grimes had given birth to a third child, whose name is Techno Mechanicus, or Tau.
When the release of the 52-year-old’s biography, a picture of the twins that he shares with Shivon Zillis began circulating online.
Consequently, the Genesis singer took to the micro-blogging website, X, to ask Elon to allow her to see her son.
In a post that has now been deleted, the musician wanted Shivon to unblock her and asked Elon to respond to her lawyer.
She went on to reveal that she was never permitted to see, even meet her son, or see a picture of the chairman’s other children.
According to the singer, she should be allowed to see Elon’s children since the situation with other women tore her family apart.
The 52-year-old has been married at least three times and is rumored to have at least 11 children.
