This happened when The Masked Singer decided to unveil the singer, and it was revealed that the hitmaker was hiding behind the mask all along.
The Confident singer, who uses she/her and they/them pronouns, gave a lively performance on What About Love by Heart in an anonymous disguise.
The show refers to this disguise as Anonymous, which involves being dressed up as a giant mouse in a gothic red dress and a spiky leather jacket.
According to the judges of the show, Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, and Nicole Scherzinger, they had already guessed that Anonymouse was Demi even before she took off the mask.
Meanwhile, Ken Jeong made an incorrect guess that Lady Gaga was behind the mask.
When the giant mouse head was taken off of the hitmaker, Nick Cannon yelled in excitement. In his words, his happiness could not be contained after seeing one of the biggest stars in the world.
He went on to applaud Demi for being a multi-platinum sensation who has been nominated twice for a Grammy award.
Nick went on to ask the judges how they figured out it was Demi, and Jenny said that she had recognized the distinctive voice of the musician.
Meanwhile, Robin spoke to Demi, saying that she is one of the greatest talents and voices of this generation and she could not forget it.
After the real face behind the mask was revealed, the 31-year-old went on to tell Nick how she had wanted to the show for a long time.
She revealed that she had always thought it was fun. Moreover, Demi thanked the host for having her on the show and letting her experience the best of both worlds.
The musician further expressed her gratitude towards the audience, exclaiming how wonderful their energy had been.
The Heart Attack hitmaker had been invited as a mystery guest on the show for a special episode, which celebrated its history prior to the premiere of its 10th season.
Furthermore, the singer is gearing up to put out a new album called Revamped. She has revealed that it will include a number of her pop songs, but all in rock versions.
Demi will also be performing this new album at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards this month.
