The 31-year-old singer shot to fame back when she joined the popular all-girl band Little Mix. However, she is now going to be putting out her first solo album, which is going to feature a number of different sounds.
When talking about the new album, the singer recalled how much success and fun she had making pop music. Thus, she added, she will always be a pop girl, and her previous works will always hold a special place in her heart.
The singer went on to add that despite her being an RnB girl, she would love to include various other genres in her music, especially because she loves them too.
In her words, the debut album will include reggae stuff as well since that is where her heart belongs and what helped kickstart her career in the music industry.
She further went on to talk about how she feels sad at times as a solo artist when she looks back on her performances in a band.
According to her, there is nothing like the support of others when you perform with a group.
On the other hand, the star added that the experience of going at it alone gives her a sense of freedom like never before.
Despite the fact that she does not have the rest of the girls from Little Mix to fall back on right now, Leigh-Anne is enjoying the sense of empowerment that comes with being a solo artist.
The chart-topping popstar went on to add that she is slowly learning to be on her own, which is difficult after spending years with the other girls. But, to her, this is the right time to kickstart her career as a solo performer.
