Diplo Expresses How Impressed He Was By Use Me Music Video

In recent news, Diplo has revealed that he was completely blown away when he saw the acting of Sean Penn in his recent music video for the song, Use Me (Brutal Hearts).

Just last month, the music producer put out the music video for his most recent collaboration with Sturgill Simpson, the country music singer, and Dove Cameron.

In the video, Penn can be seen lip-syncing to the vocals of Simpson while in a club.

Diplo later talked about how he had asked Penn to step in soon after the actor originally cast by Simpson surprisingly dropped out.

He had been looking for a replacement just a night before the shoot when the previous actor stepped down and was glad that he came across the Oscar winner.

The DJ further recalled that Sean Penn has never done a video before this one. He only listened to the song and loved it so much that he agreed to step in.

As per Diplo, the Oscar winner actor was so excited that he would arrive early at the set for the video and start getting into character right away.

This included the actor smoking cigarettes to really get into character. As per the DJ, he has never seen anyone be this dedicated and give a beautiful performance. Thus, he was truly blown away.

As per Thomas Wesley Pentz, the 44-year-old, he and Sean Penn live right next to each other in Malibu, California. This is why he decided to text the star of the Mystic River to check whether he could step in.

According to the DJ, he meets numerous people from Hollywood all the time and frequently chats with them. However, in his hour of need, he did not know if anyone would be willing to step in and help him out.

This was why he was especially relieved when the Oscar-winning actor stepped in and gave such a wonderful performance.

The music video for the song, Use Me (Brutal Hearts) is a part of the album, named Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley, Chapter 2: Swamp Savant. It was released back in April.

In other news, Josh Freese has been announced as the new drummer for the band, Foo Fighters.

There have been months of speculation regarding who will be taking the drums after Taylor Hawkins passed. The 50-year-old musician stepped in and prepared alongside the band for its live stream on Sunday.

Freese’s debut during one of the performances of the Foo Fighters was well-received by fans. However, no other member of the band has commented on the news, including the drummer himself.

Previously, Freese acted as a session drummer for a number of bands, which includes the likes of A Perfect Circle, Weezer, Guns N’ Roses, and Nine Inch Nails.

He also stepped in last September to perform with the Foo Fighters as a tribute to Taylor Hawkins. Hawkins passed away when he was 50 years old in the March of 2022.
