Olivia Rodrigo Arrives At The Grammy Awards With A Sign Language Interpreter

Just recently, Olivia Rodrigo took her walk down the red carpet at the Grammy Awards 2022 alongside a sign language interpreter. As per videos posted to social media and news outlets present at the scene, the Good 4 U singer was accompanied by an ASL interpreter while she gave various interviews.

Due to the movie, the singer was showered with praise and blessings by fans on several social media websites. Marlee Matlin, CODA star, also took to appreciating the popstar, expressing gratitude for Olivia showing up on the red carpet with an ASL interpreter. She went on to add that the singer rocks.

On the other hand, not everyone was quite surprised by Olivia’s move. According to a dead hip-hop singer, Sean Forbes, a number of interpreters were present at the red-carpet event. He took to commenting on the tweet made by Marlene, pointing out that a majority of the live stream was not accessible through ASL. He further added that the entire show was supposed to be ASL-friendly but that he had been unable to find one that would allow him to enjoy the awards as well.

Nevertheless, Sean Forbes did appreciate the teen popstar for having an ASL interpreter with her. However, he added that he had hoped to see all the interviews, which were originally supposed to be ASL accessible.

The singer received various awards at the ceremony, such as Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album, as well as Best Pop Solo Performance.

In other news, Wolfgang Van Halen revealed that he was feeling quite grateful for being nominated for his first-ever Grammy. He, being the song of the now deceased Eddie Van Halen, had been shortlisted for the award of Best Rock Song. His latest soundtrack, Distance, which had been about his late father, had received a nomination for Grammy Awards 2022.

However, the prize was eventually given to Foo Fighters for Waiting On A War. Nevertheless, Wolfgang was happy that he had received the nod alongside some of his favorite artists.

The rocker took to the micro-blogging website, Twitter, to talk about his experience at the Grammy Awards. He had been joined by Valerie Bertinelli, his mother, and Andraia Allsop, his girlfriend, at the red carpet. The singer talked about how he came and attended the event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, which was a great experience for him. He further talked about how he did not win the award and that that was okay.

According to the 31-year-old, what mattered most to him was being able to attend the event with two women who are the most important to him. He went on to express that it had been gratitude for him to just be nominated for his first ever song, in the category that has always most appealed to him. In his words, this was the experience of a lifetime in itself.

The popstar pointed out how his father, who passed away in October of 2020 after battling cancer, had also not won an award the first time he had been nominated.
