Joey Kramer Steps Back From Aerosmith Temporarily

Just recently, Joey Kramer announced that he will be taking a leave of absence from the band, Aerosmith. However, he assured that his break is only temporary.

The ‘Crazy’ hitmakers, later on, confirmed that their residency, namely ‘Deuces Are Wild’, is going to be coming back to the city of Las Vegas. A total of 24 shows will be held between the months of June and December. However, the group revealed that their drummer will not be joining them for the concert series, mainly because he wants to take a break and spend time with his loved ones.

In a statement released by the band, it added that Kramer was the one who decided to not participate in any of the concerts this year. It further revealed that he decided to take a break in the first place because he wants to spend time with his family, especially during these challenging and uncertain times. But the statement made it clear that the drummer will only be gone temporarily and will be soon returning to perform with the band once again.

Furthermore, it was later on disclosed that Jack Douglas, a drum technician, will be stepping in for Kramer for the concert series of 2022.

This is not the first time that Kramer has decided to take a break from performing in the band. In April of 2019, he had suffered an injury to the shoulder, which rendered him unable to participate in rehearsals, as well as live performances.

He later asked to join the band for a tribute at the at GrammyWeek MusiCares. However, the band outright refused his request. Following the refusal, the group also released a statement, saying that Joey Kramer is a brother to them all and his well-being is important to them. But they also pointed out that by the drummer’s own admission, he has been physically and emotionally unavailable for at least half a year to the band, as well as the members.

The statement asserted that Aerosmith has missed its drummer quite a lot and encouraged him to rejoin the group time and time again. On the other hand, according to the members, he refused to do so several times because he felt he was not ready.

Consequently, Joey filed a lawsuit with the court to protest against the band’s injustice of not allowing him to perform at the tribute show. However, the matter was resolved, and he came on board Aerosmith in February of 2020.

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus has revealed that she will be releasing her first live album named Attention: Miley Live. It is all set to be available for everyone to hear on the 1st of April, Friday.

The singer talked about her upcoming album, disclosing how her fans have been excited about the new release and requesting her to record live songs for a while now. She added how excited she is to finally be giving all her fans what they love.

The new album, Attention, will feature various live shows and tracks, such as You. This song has already been debuted by the popstar at the New Year’s Eve concert of hers that was broadcasted on television for fans to view.
