Russell And Ciara Wilson Celebrate Holidays By Surprising Students

Just recently, Russell and Ciara Wilson took to surprising students with several gifts to help them celebrate the holidays.

The 36-year-old singer and the 33-year-old footballer decided to visit their Why Not You Academy, located in Des Moines, Washington, just in time to surprise the children for Christmas.

According to sources, the surprise consisted of celebrating the inaugural semester of the school. The couple handed out gift packs, which included several goodies inside a Dare to Roam antimicrobial backpack. Part of the goodies was a Starbucks gift, a t-shirt of Human Nation/House of LRC, a Human/Nation beanie, a 3BRAND scarf belonging to Why Not You, as well as an Aerobie Sonic Fin Football by Spin Master, as per the publication. Moreover, the school used the celebrations to reveal its official mascot after having the students vote for it. The mascot unveiled was a ferocious lion.

In October of last year, the Wilson couple had donated a total of $1.75 million to the Why Not You Foundation in order to save the institution. Back then, it was named the Cascade Midway Academy. Soon after their donation, the school was renamed to honor the people who had saved it.

The foundation website posted a statement from Russell and Ciara, which stated that the couple has always believed that successes in life begin with a good education. However, the two also said that they realize that opportunities are not always created equally for everyone. Thus, they wanted to make a change in the lives of these students.

In other news, Gwen Stefani has revealed that she and her family get into the spirit of Christmas by taking a trip to Disneyland. According to her, this is their traditional trip that they take every year.

The Hollaback Girl has grown up in close proximity to Anaheim, California, where according to her, Disneyland was in her backyard. Back then, her parents would drive her and her siblings there during every holiday season, until it became a tradition. To this day, she keeps that tradition alive by taking her family to Disneyland each year.

She recalled how her parents would pick her and her siblings up from school and while they were driving down Harvard Boulevard, they would act as if they made a wrong turn and had to go to Disneyland now. While on the set of The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration, she talked about how her family had been let down last year when they had been unable to go due to the pandemic. She further went on to add how this time that she is filming the special alone, they will be bummed about being left behind.

The former star of No Doubt shares three sons, Kingston, who is 15 years old, Zuma, who is 13 years old, and Apollo, aged seven, with Gavin Rossdale, her ex-husband. During the special, she was asked what she would want to get as a Christmas gift from her now-husband, Blake Shelton.

In response, the singer added that she just wants everyone to be happy and content this Christmas, despite the stress lingering in the air.
