Dr. Dre Presented With Divorce Papers At His Grandmother’s Funeral

It has recently been reported that lawyers for the former wife of Dr. Dre tried to present him with legal documents for the couple’s divorce, while the singer was in the process of laying his late grandmother to rest.

Sources revealed that The Next Episode hitmaker, whose real name is Andre Young, was burying his relative in a cemetery in Los Angeles. His grandmother had had an important role in his upbringing and while he laid her to rest, a process server approached him.

The rap mogul had just been standing beside the casket at the burial site when he was presented with the papers, as claimed by insiders close to the popstar.

However, sources close to his former wife, Nicole Young, have taken to dispute the account. According to them, the lawyers had approached Dr. Dre in the parking lot after he had buried his grandmother.

Reportedly the papers of the divorce consist of clauses of the fee to be paid to Nicole’s attorney. The couple has been disputing over the amount of money he owes to his ex-wife’s lawyers. The musician’s current net worth is estimated to be at $800 million.

Up until now, the music mogul has paid a total of $325,433, as per the agreement. However, a judge recently signed an order, which stated that he still owed his former wife an additional sum. According to Dre, the judge made an error in stating that he pay an amount of $1.55 million. Nicole, on the other hand, is adamant that she is still owed a total of $1,224,567.

She filed for divorce back in June of 2020, revealing that the two have irreconcilable differences. The former couple share two children together, who are both now adults.

In other news, Justin Bieber has been nominated for a total of eight awards at the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV) for the year 2021.
