In recent news, Meghan Trainor has opened up about the time that she gave birth to her son and how terrifying the experience had been for her.
The All About That Bass hitmaker welcomed her first child into the world alongside actor Daryl Sabara, her husband. Their son, whom the couple named Riley, was born in the month of February. Just recently, however, the singer talked about the birth of her first child, recalling how he was in breach. The baby had had breathing issues right after he had been delivered through a C-section.
She recalled how for her it had been like she was living a horror story. According to her, he did not cry or make a single noise when he came out. Consequently, the new mother started to panic, asking the doctors why her child was not crying.
The doctors told the 27-year-old that Riley was experiencing some issues with breathing. According to the popstar, she was terrified at that notion. Her son was then transferred to a neonatal intensive care unit and provided with a feeding tube.
While recalling the day, Trainor added that she had only spent a second with Riley before he was taken away. In her opinion, it was the worst thing that could have happened. She went on to express her gratitude and happiness, however, at the fact that the new parents were lucky enough to bring their son home after a time period of five days.
Back in the month of February, Trainor had taken to Instagram to make the announcement that revealed that her son had arrived a week earlier than expected.
At the time, she wrote that the due date of the baby boy was on Valentine’s Day. But the parents had been on the ninth cloud when they got to meet him early. While welcoming her son into the world, she thanked her husband and said that he had given her the best Valentine’s gift ever.
In April, the hitmaker also gave the world an added insight into her son’s journey. She shared a video all over social media that showed him hooked up to various monitors and tubes, while being only a couple of days old.
The 27-year-old admitted that though the family had had a rocky start, Riley was now in perfect condition. She further added that she was lucky to be her son’s mama.
