In recent news, will.i.am has come up with a futuristic face mask, which will allow people to protect themselves from the germs of the novel coronavirus. It will also help in preventing the spread of the virus.
The frontman of the Black Eyed Peas has announced that he will be joining hands with his go-to collaborator, Jose Fernandez, a costume designer. Moreover, Honeywell, an engineering company, will also be brought on board to work on the Xupermask.
Along with helping with the protection of an individual and others from the infection, the mask will have the capabilities to allow it to muffle noises. This will be done with the help of a noise-canceling microphone and audio capabilities. The Xupermask will also address the cons of face coverings, such as muffled phone conversations, as well as fogged-up glasses.
The Where is the Love hitmaker also talked about his latest creation. He said that he observed all the things that were bothering people about earbuds and masks. He added how earbuds were not created to pick up on the voices of individuals whose mouths are covered by fabric.
As per will.i.am, it is extremely dangerous for people to speak with their masks off and thus, they put themselves at risk. Consequently, the Xupermask can help people be heard, even if they whisper while on a bike and are on a Zoom call. This is due to the fact that the hi-tech mask is designed to block out any noise, germs, and the sound of wind.
The Xupermask comes in white, with orange and grey accents, as well as in black with orange accents. It has been built by using medical-grade silicone and has been covered by an elastic strap to provide maximum comfort.
This hi-tech face-covering uses three dual-speed fans and consists of a filtered port, accompanied by a filtration system, patented by Honeywell itself. The name of the system is High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA).
