Mel B reveals that she plans to join rehab in the near future after finding herself at a crisis point.
Melanie
Janine Brown, also known as Mel B was a member of the girl pop group,
Spice Girls. She split up with her husband, Stephan Belafonte in
2016. They both fought a nasty legal battle in which Mel B accused
him of being verbally and physically abusive towards her. However, he
denied all these allegations.
They
got divorced in 2017, but have still continued to fight in court over
many issues, which also include the custody of their six-year-old
daughter Madison. After having a post-traumatic stress disorder, Mel
revealed that she will be joining a rehab facility in the U.K.
In
a statement issued to a British newspaper, Mel has disclosed that the
past six months have been very difficult for her. She mentioned that
she’s working with a writer for her book, Brutally Honest. This is
turning out to unbelievably traumatic for her to relive an
emotionally abusive relationship. In the book, she has also
confronted many issues of her life, starting from her father’s
death to her relationship with men.
She
has decided to go to a proper therapy program in the next few weeks,
which will be in the U.K. as she is very British and thinks that this
will be the best for her.
Apart
from Madison, Mel B is also a mother to Phoenix, 19 and Angel, 11.
She explained that she is undergoing Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing, which is a form of psychotherapy designed to lessen any
negative feelings that are associated with traumatic events.
The
43-year-old said that this therapy is really helping her out. Apart
from that, she did not give further details about when or where she
will join rehab.
