Sharon Osbourne Hopes To Revive Ozzfest

In recent news, Sharon Osbourne has said that she could revive Ozzfest and turn it into a touring festival.

According to the 71-year-old, her husband, Ozzy Osbourne has inquired on various occasions if the heavy metal showcase could make a comeback.

Moreover, he wants the showcase to run for a couple of shows, rather than wrap up in a single night.

The last performance of Ozzfest last took place back in 2018 and the Black Sabbath star had headlined the event at the time.

Consequently, Sharon took to The Osbournes Podcast to say it is possible to turn the festival into a trek.

Later on in the podcast, the couple’s daughter, Kelly, added that the managers of the artist should start to be a little more realistic with respect to booking fees.

Agreeing, the 71-year-old wondered why everyone thinks that Ozzfest is hosted by a couple of trillionaires.

She further disclosed that in the past, managers who wanted their bands to be a part of the festival have requested that she put in funds for the performances.

Ozzfest was created back in 1996 as a two-day festival by the happy couple Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne.

The pair also act as the manager of the War Pigs rocker and have been successfully running both for a long time.

Back in 2018, the festival had only hosted a single night, which was held in Inglewood, California, at The Forum.

Ozzy had been a part of the line-up, which included several popular stars, such as Marilyn Manson, Jonathan Davis from Korn, and Rob Zombie.

In the previous month, the 75-year-old icon made headlines when he shut down hoaxes about his death.

Since the rock icon is open about his health issues, those that he currently experiences and has experienced in the past, rumors began to swirl around about his passing.

He took to the Boxing Day episode of the podcast run by his family, saying that YouTube has a picture of him among the celebrities who passed on that day.

The musician went on to add that he is not dead and is only suffering through a flesh wound.

Just last year, the 75-year-old had canceled all the European and the UK tour dates while he recovered from spinal surgery.

This had been due to the musician slipping and falling back in 2019. The issue with his spine was further exacerbated since it went unchecked for a while.

Ozzy has admitted that he may never be able to tour again in his life. however, he added that it has been difficult to accept this fact.

On the other hand, the 75-year-old is hopeful that he will be able to perform at one-off shows, such as the Ozzyfest and other festivals.

While discussing the rumors surrounding his death, the 75-year-old joked that he is not going anywhere this soon.

Furthermore, he added that he wants to do a couple of more gigs before he passes, and he is not finished yet.
