Emeli Sande Talks About Understanding Her Songs

In recent news, Emeli Sande has talked about how she has grown with her music and is now understanding her songs better than when she first wrote them.

The 36-year-old singer went on to predict her own future where her music is concerned.

The star began recalling her childhood, saying that she began writing songs from an early age.

Consequently, she added that she had enjoyed significant success in the spotlight in the music industry, which she entered when she was in her early twenties.

But despite how long the star has been in the field, she feels that she can relate to her songs at her current age as she now understands what she was trying to say to the world back then.

Speaking about her songs, she said that it feels weird to think that she predicted her own future in them back when she first created them.

The singer disclosed that there are a couple of songs that she wrote seven years ago that make more sense to her now than they did back then.

The 36-year-old musician said that the older she gets, the more her lyrics make sense to her. Thus, she believes that she is living life in reverse.

The Brit Award-winning artist has just recently released her fifth-ever studio album, titled How Were We To Know.

On the release, the star admitted that despite her wanting to grow in her career, she often struggles with trying to find the perfect balance between creating music that pleases her to writing songs that appeal to the audience at large.

However, the star confessed that she has a pleasant time whenever she plays classics, such as Read All About It and Next To Me, for the crowd.

According to the star, singing her old songs on stage takes her back to the feeling she experienced when she first wrote them, and it makes her feel confident in herself once again.

She added that she wants to try different approaches to music in the future but is unsure of how her fans will receive them.

In other news, Mariah Carey has revealed a lookalike Barbie doll of herself.

As Christmas approaches, the self-proclaimed Queen of the holiday has been immortalized as a Barbie doll.

The figurine can be seen wearing a copy of the dress that the star wore in the second music video recorded for her season special, All I Want For Christmas Is You.

The song was initially released in 1994 and featured the singer in a sparkling red gown, which she wore throughout the video.

The outfit of the doll is complete with the singer’s look for the day, which includes a microphone and her jewelry.

The Grammy winner was quite excited about the figurine, talking about how she did not have a lot of toys to play with when she was growing up.

Thus, it feels surreal to the star to now have an actual Barbie doll created after her, especially since she grew up wanting to be ‘superstar’ Barbie herself.
