Dolly Parton Recalls Sending A Love Note To Ringo Starr And Paul McCartney

In recent news, Dolly Parton has revealed that she sent a love note to Ringo Starr and Sir Paul McCartney of the Beatles.

According to the ‘9 to 5’ hitmaker, she felt very humbled after the surviving members of the band agreed to help make her rock record, Rockstar, a success.

The contribution made by the legendary rock’n’roll group was to re-record its hit songs from the 1970s, Let It Be.

While talking about her album, the singer revealed that the frontmen of The Beatles had been very supportive, so she sent them a love note through their managers to let them know what she was thinking about.

In her note, Dolly said that she told them that she did not want to put them on the sport but would appreciate their collaboration on her most recent album.

She provided her number in the note, asking the 81 and 83-year-old to give her a call if they were interested.

Soon enough, she received a call from the musicians, who added that they were looking forward to working with her.

Talking about the note, the musician said that she felt like she was flirting with the men by sending them a letter.

According to her, she never thought that the members of The Beatles would be featured on her star-studded album.

The 77-year-old confessed that she is not good at asking people for anything, and when she does ask for a favor, she feels like she is hitting on them.

The music legend went on to recall that she used to run around like a high-school girl to get Sir Mick Jagger to record a song with her.

The Jolene hitmaker has been married to her other half for the last 57 years, and she explained that many of the songs of the artist are favorites of her husband’s.

She further disclosed that her husband has been a huge fan of Sir Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones for years, which is why she asked him to appear on the cover of her song, I Can’t Get No Satisfaction.

The singer had said he wanted to record something unique and new with Dolly, but his busy schedule did not allow that to happen.

After this revelation, the 77-year-old revealed that she had wanted him to sing this song with her, but he had wanted to work on a new one.

In the end, she ended up singing I Can’t Get No Satisfaction with Brandi Carlile and Pink, as time ran out to record with the Rolling Stone rockstar.

She disclosed that the pair spent weeks trying to come up with a time to work on their collaboration, but their busy schedules had her chasing him around LA like a high-school girl.

But the two did not mind, as they wanted to work on a song together before the plan fell through.

The new album from Dolly features a number of artists, such as Sir Elton John, Stevie Nicks, Chris Stapleton, and numerous others.
