Just recently, Adele halted her concert in Las Vegas right after she received the news of Matthew Perry’s passing.
The American-Canadian actor had made a name for himself playing the beloved character of Chandler Bing in the well-known TV show, Friends.
The 54-year-old was found dead inside his home, which is located in Los Angeles, after an alleged drowning incident.
As per sources, the Hello singer took to pausing her performance at the Colosseum, situated at Caesar’s Palace, just as she heard that the actor had died.
She went on to give a speech as a tribute to him, saying that even though she had never met him in person, his character, Chandler, had had a profound impact on her.
In her words, the musician added that she will never be able to forget the character played by Matthew Perry.
According to Adele, the 54-year-old established Chandler as the best comedic character to ever exist.
The British singer, dressed as Morticia Adams for the Halloween weekend, took to honoring the late actor as she introduced her song When We Were Young.
She also spoke to different members of the audience, asking them to share their favorite childhood memories.
The London-born diva further took to sharing memories of her own childhood that were connected to the deceased 54-year-old.
She recalled that one of her friends, when she was just 12 years old, used to do an impression of Chandler, and it always made her laugh.
In her words, she and her friends would sometimes pretend to be the character, especially on days when they were feeling low or upset about something.
Adele, who has recently quit drinking alcohol, further noted the actor’s issues with addiction.
According to the musician, she read about his struggles in his 2022 memoir, appreciating how brave he has been in disclosing his issues.
She said that he has been pretty open about his sobriety, which is impressive considering how difficult it is to open up about such things.
In other news, Miley Cyrus has said that she wants to collaborate with Billie Eilish.
In the words of the Flowers hitmaker, she is in awe of the up-and-coming musician, saying that the 21-year-old knows exactly who she is as a person and as an artist.
According to Miley, Billie is on her way to becoming one of the biggest stars in the industry because she knows how to express herself through her music.
She went on to recall how, when she was 21 years old, she was heavily influenced by other people’s opinions and decisions.
However, she pointed out that Billie is authentic with her music and owns up to who she is.
The 30-year-old further disclosed that she has not had a conversation with the young musician about working together yet.
But she went on to say that the bad guy singer is one of the top musicians that she would love to collaborate with.
Previously, Miley has teamed up with a number of fellow singers, ranging from Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, and Dua Lipa to Stevie Nicks and Dolly Parton.
