In recent news, Travis Barker abandoned his Blink-182 tour halfway through to rush home. The reason cited for the star’s urgency was a family matter that needed to be attended to.
The rock band posted on the micro-blogging website, Twitter/X, to reveal that it will be postponing some of its shows in Europe.
It went on to add that this delay was because Travis was caught up due to an urgent family matter that could not be ignored.
As a result, the drummer left the continent and went back to the States to be with his family.
The announcement went on to say that the shows in Dublin, Belfast, and Glasgow will now be rescheduled.
No further information was provided regarding the new dates and when Travis would return to Europe to resume the trek.
The announcement comes shortly after the musician posted a picture on Instagram Stories, which showed a prayer room.
The banner in the room stated, ‘Together we pray’, which people have taken to indicate that the family is going through a tough time.
As of now, the 47-year-old is expecting his first child with Kourtney Kardashian. Back in the middle of June, the 44-year-old wide of the drummer revealed the news at one of the shows of Blink-182.
Currently, he is the father of two grown-up children from his previous marriage, namely Alabama and Landon.
Where the tour is concerned, the band was all set to give powerful performances in Glasgow, Scotland, on the 1st and 2nd of September.
From there, it was scheduled to travel to Belfast for its gig on the 4th of September.
The tour consists of a total of 93 dates and is known as the Hard Rock Tour. It took off from Minnesota on the 4th of May 2023.
In other news, Dua Lipa has revealed that she felt differently about her name when she was a teenager.
In a recent interview, the pop star talked about how she felt left out among other British children. The reason was mainly her name.
The 28-year-old said that her name would immediately reveal that she did not belong. Given that she and her family used to move around a lot, it was especially challenging to make friends.
She went on to add that she would try to appear as normal as possible, but when she introduced herself, people would ask where she was from and what her name meant.
As a result, Dua would end up telling them about her history and end up discussing Kosovo, despite many people not knowing where the country was located.
According to the levitating hitmaker, she used to feel conscious about her name, but eventually, she learned to appreciate it when thinking of it in a professional sense.
In her words, she would imagine her name as a stage name, and it gave her the opportunity to be prouder of her Albanian roots.
Dua was born in London, despite her parents being from Kosovo. She relocated to the country with her parents when she was 11, only to return to Britain at age 15.
