Just recently, Silverstone made an announcement related to the first couple of artists that it has chosen to perform at the 2024 British Grand Prix.
Amongst the star-studded line-up was Stormzy, who will be performing in front of a record crowd of around 480,000 or more.
The British motorsport is excited to go bigger and better when the time comes for it to host the eclectic mix of hotshots in the music industry in the upcoming year.
As per the unprecedented line-up for the four-day festival, Silverstone will be taking its new-look arts and music offerings to a whole new level.
Consequently, the British Grand Prix, as Silverstone hopes, will become a summer highlight on the British music and sporting calendar.
For the second day of the event, which is a Friday, Stormzy, a popular generational icon, will take the stage.
He has only done one concert up until September of the current year, which was to perform his catalog of multiple hits at a once-in-a-lifetime gig.
The singer has multiple BRIT Awards in the bank, as well as three number 1 albums. Moreover, he boasts more than a billion global streams and has headlined many music festivals.
But best of all, Stormzy made a name for himself as the first-ever British rapper to have headlined the Glastonbury Festival back in 2019.
The third day of the event, which is a Saturday, will include summer grooves from Pete Tong, who will perform Ibiza Classics alongside The Essential Orchestra and Jules Buckley.
Finally, the weekend will end with Rudimental taking the stage and giving the fans a stomping live performance, which is what the band is known for.
As of now, the event organizers have yet to announce the support acts and headline for the iconic Opening Concert on Thursday, which is the first day.
Nick Read, the Commercial Director of Silverstone, took to giving a speech on the occasion, saying that the company’s long-term ambition is to become a venue that brings in crowds from across the globe.
He added that the venue has aimed also to attract the best and biggest artists worldwide to ensure that attendees get the performance of a lifetime.
The Director confirmed the slots for Stormzy, Pete Tong, and Rudimental, saying that he was thrilled to have them as the first musicians in the line-up for the 2024 British Grand Prix.
While talking about organizing the event, Read said that it had been overwhelming to try and make sure that the upcoming event outdid the success of the previous year.
Thus, after careful evaluation, the organizers picked various respected artists who will be kicking things up a notch with their powerful performances.
Moreover, the Commercial Director further hinted that the venue is currently thinking about introducing more global acts, which will be announced soon.
Throughout the 2023 British Grand Prix, fans flocked to the Silverstone in droves and experienced an event like never before at its newly expanded music arena.
