The Strokes Return To All Points East

In recent news, The Strokes, Girl in Red, Angel Olsen, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs have launched the second weekend of the All Points East 2023.

It is a music festival, which was celebrated in the east region of London, but was halted for the past few years. But now, it has made a comeback.

For over two decades, The Strokes have embodied the cool and influential aura of New York City.

Now, they have brought that heat with them all the way from the United States to the United Kingdom for an exclusive show.

The iconic group formerly declared London to be its second home and, thus, gave the performance of a lifetime at the All Points East event.

The band kicked off the gig with the lead singer, Julian Casablancas, unleashing his famous drawl for the opening of What Ever Happened.

It is a popular single from the band’s album Room On Fire, which became recognized largely for the iconic performance from Julian.

From then on, The Strokes pumped up the crowd even more by singing some of its best hits, such as Last Nite, You Only Live Once, Juicebox and The Adults Are Talking.

The band also took to performing their hit song released in 2020, called The New Abnormal, which is the embodiment of the class that The Strokes is known for.

Later on, the crowd went wild when the group performed a set that included several of its most popular songs, like Welcome to Japan and Sometimes.

The band members gave a fiery performance at the end of the main set when they sang Reptilia, and the crowd was on its feet.

By the end of the performance, The Strokes made it clear that it is still at the top of the list of indie rock bands that can give an excellent performance.

Meanwhile, Karen O from Yeah Yeah Yeahs, who came on before The Strokes, gave a lively performance herself.

She began her set with Spitting Off The Edge Of The World, followed by her LP from last year, namely Cool It Down.

The star displayed inimitable magnetism with her lycra suit and ski shades, as well as her powerful performance.

But Karen O did not stop there. She went on to give the crowd a good time with various of her well-known tines, like Heads Will Roll, Zero, Gold Lion, and Sacrilege.

When she sang Soft Shock, she told her fans how she wrote the song in 2009 while she was on a ranch located in El Paso.

The singer recalled how at the time, London seemed like a faraway dream to her, so when she wrote the song, she pictured being in the city.

When the time came for Karen O to sing Maps, she dedicated it to a couple of artists. One of those was Sinead O’Connor.

Meanwhile, Girl In Red matched the upbeat performances of The Strokes and Karen O, revealing that she will also be a part of the Eras Tour with Taylor Swift.

Consequently, the singer will be returning to London next year.
