Belinda Carlisle Reiterates That The Go-Gos Are No More

In recent news, Belinda Carlisle has once again iterated that the Go-Gos will not be returning to performing or making music.

The 64-year-old star was the primary singer of the well-known rock group. This was before she went solo for a while and released a number of hits of her own back in the 1980s.

Currently, the singer has said that the group will not be making a comeback and has ended for good, given that it went out on a good note.

Back in 2021, the Go-Gos were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, after which the band decided to step away from the spotlight for good.

In an interview with Variety, she said that she is done, and so is the band. In her words, it had to come to an end at some point, and at times they go out on a bad note.

Thus, she does not want Go-Gos to be one of those bands that go on for too long.

According to Belinda, she is always asking her manager to let her know when it is time for her to end her solo career as well.

However, in the same interview, the 64-year-old said that she feels like her time in the spotlight has come to an end, and it is time for her to put the mic down for good.

In her words, she has left behind a memorable legacy, and so has the band, which is why she believes that it is a good idea for her to leave while she is at the top.

Just recently, Belinda made a comeback by releasing a new EP called Kismet. This was over five years after she put out her last album.

Moreover, she added that she wants to do a collaboration with Brandi Carlisle before she makes her exit, as the two of them find it hilarious when people confuse one for the other all the time.

In Belinda’s words, she met up with Brandi, and the two of them enjoyed spending time together. In addition, she added that despite people confusing one for the other all the time, they find it funny and are huge fans of each other.

In other news, Alex James revealed that he shed a couple of tears when Blur successfully sold out all its tickets to the new concert in Wembley Stadium in no less than two minutes.

According to the 54-year-old bassist, he had no idea that old fans would still be interested in seeing the group perform. The last time the band had taken the stage was back in the year 2015.

Thus, when he received the news of the show being sold out and another night being added, the singer broke down and became really emotional.

He gave an interview shortly after, in which he said that singers cannot tell if fans are actually interested in seeing them until they schedule a show and decide to take the stage again.
