In recent news, the festivals of Reading and Leeds announced that they will be hosting an exclusive show, which will feature the best that Scotland has to offer, namely Lewis Capaldi.
This new gig is said to be the most intimate one that the singer has given in years.
The show is gearing up to receive the support of James Marriott and will be held in The Wardrobe, which is located in Leeds. The gig will take place on the 6th of June.
It has further been revealed that tickets will only be available through ballots, and only to those who have bought a festival ticket for Reading and Leeds, either on a weekday or the weekend.
Moreover, the good news is that all the profit earned from ticket sales will be given to charity.
Thus, Lewis Capaldi has been invited to headline this year’s editions of the event. The show is likely to be an ode to the commanding presence of the musician, as he sweeps global audiences off their feet.
This show was announced shortly after Lewis released Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, his new album.
With the recent release, the singer went on to assure his fans that they will soon be able to gain an insightful glimpse into his life.
Moreover, he will be showcasing his new music and a couple of well-loved tracks on the night of the event.
The singer just came off of his personal headlining tour, which included a BBC Introducing show held in the city of London.
In this gig of Reading and Leeds, Lewis will be receiving support from a sensation based in Brighton, James Marriott.
Despite the fact that the singer is an alternative musician and a new multi-disciplinary creative, James has managed to launch an independent career for himself.
He started out in the year 2020 and went on to establish a loyal and significant fanbase for himself by using his music.
In his words, he gets the inspiration for his tracks from Sam Fender, The Strokes, Two Door Cinema Club, and a number of others.
Lewis has also announced that fans who are unable to catch him live at the new phenomenal show can always attend the next show that will be held later in the year.
It has been revealed that the second run at Reading and Leeds will not only include the musician, but various other stars.
He expressed excitement at how grateful he was to not only be invited to perform at this event but to be given the opportunity to perform alongside several talented musicians.
Some of these other celebrities have been revealed to be Foals, Imagine Dragons, Same Fender, Billie Eilish, and The Killers.
Furthermore, the second time around, this show is going to run for a total of three days and include performances from all these celebrities and more.
The fixed dates for the festivals have been announced to be 25th to 27th August. Tickets were also put on sale and are predicted to sell off quickly.
