Based in Pittsburgh, country musician Gary Burk III released his debut single with MTS records called ‘Friday Night. Its amazing lyrics and its infectious music and groove helped the single to top the Canadian iTunes Top 20 Country Songs chart. The lyric video had more than 18,000 views on YouTube whereas the track was streamed on Spotify more than 50,000 times. While the single is still making its way up the airplay chart, Burk doesn’t seem to be in the mood to stop.
He has released a completely new track known as ‘You Got Me’, in which he showed his versatility as a guitar player and a singer. The song was released on September 27th, 2019 and it is a stark contrast to ‘Friday Night’ because it is a love song that boasts a down-temp. Thus, the track proves that Burk is not just a one-trick pony. The song was recorded at Meatlocker Recording Studios and was written by Mason Douglas. On November 8th, Gary Burk III also opened for Jason Hawk Harris in Pittsburgh at the Hard Rock Café. As far as his debut EP is concerned, it has been tentatively titled as ‘Show Em What you Got’ and is expected to be released late this year.
Gary hails from Western Pennsylvania and he started his musical journey from the very early age of 9. He was riding along with his father to family camp and a song was playing on the radio. It was an old-time country tune that touched Gary in a manner that changed his life completely. Gary has a 3 piece band of outlaws and he draws inspiration from some of his biggest influences, such as Jason Aldean, Alabama and Luke Bryan. He performs at different events in the region.
