Miley Cyrus Recovering from Vocal Cord Surgery

Last month, Miley Cyrus was hospitalized for tonsillitis and has undergone vocal cord surgery since then. She is now recovering from the procedure. The surgery was recommended to the Mother’s Daughter hitmaker before the year ended. The purpose was to resolve an issue with her vocal cords, something that she had been battling unknowingly for years.

According to reports, the recovery period spans to a couple of weeks during which time she will have to stay quiet. This has forced the singer to put plans about new music on hold until she is feeling better. Sources revealed that Miley was doing great after the surgery and would be back to work early next year.

On Friday, November 8th, Cody Simpson, Miley’s current boyfriend made an appearance and referred to the surgery. He shared a black and white photo with the singer and captioned it as ‘success’. Last month, following her tonsillitis diagnosis, Cyrus had taken to her Instagram story and raged about the condition after posting a few pictures of her resting in bed.

She had been very unhappy with the problem and had expressed it quite openly. During this difficult time, it seems Cody has been fully supporting his girlfriend. This also prompted Miley to praise her boyfriend in a post, where she explained that he brought her roses and a guitar. The couple went public with their relationship the previous month. This is just two months after the Wrecking Ball singer split from her husband, Liam Hemsworth. The singer also had a brief rebound affair with Kaitlynn Carter, the reality TV star.
