Here are the Top Songs of All Time

Industry executives say good music can be any sort of music which has the potential to capture the attention of listeners. For the demographic of listeners in their adulthood, on the other hand, good music is something that is worth listening to even after years of its release and has meaningful lyrics and depth with amazing melodies. So, if the music industry has come up with good music and a range of top songs over the years, it is perhaps necessary to understand why some demographics of listeners in their adulthood do not find it worth listening to after years of its release.

Even in the last couple of years, there have been the artists who hold the potential for longevity, and are somehow forced fed to the consumers just to make a sales record worldwide. Their songs have been parts of different online charts of top songs establishing a proof of their extraordinary skills and utmost performances. We truly have the feeling that some of them will be around to play live in sold-out music arenas in the coming years.

You may be interested in knowing what are the top songs of all time that have best-captivated listeners’ attention and made a good sale too. However, there is only a fair way to get it done with as many individuals to interject as possible. In general practice, a large number of music lovers vote for their favorite songs of all time, from the oldest recordings to the latest pop hits. This makes it much harder for people like me to make the list of top songs especially if I do not look for the bestselling songs or the most streamed tracks.

Despite all the above, I am going to make a countdown of top songs of all times that have taken the world by the storm with their unmatchable music and enthralling vocals. You might not agree with my favorite picks, but there is no argument that these melodies have made their extraordinary ovation and so are considered among the top songs of all time.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” - the Queen

Written by Freedie Mercury, “Bohemian Rhapsody” by the Queen is one of the greatest melodies ever produced in the musical industry. It has truly captivating lyrics and extremely innovative music.  “Bohemian Rhapsody” is indeed the most soulful masterpiece of the album “A night at the opera” released in 1975 and has withstood with the time even after 43 years of its release. When describing in simple words, the song has every element needed to make it a big hit and one of the top songs of all time.

“Comfortably Numb” – Pink Floyd

When it comes to discovering top songs of all time, nobody can forget the great piano song “Comfortably Numb”. It is a musical sensation that has flawlessly kept the listeners awestruck in its magic. It is one of the best solos from Pink Floyd who captivatingly penned down its beautiful lyrics and performed a great guitar work.  Basically, it’s a movie soundtrack from “The Wall” which not only seamlessly depicts an important part of the story but also reveals a lot about Pink. With a 3:03 length, “Imagine”, is the bestselling single from Lennon’s career and so is one of the top songs of all time.

“Imagine” – John Lennon

It’s a real classic that emerges from John Lennon’s album “Imagine” released back in 1971. The song is an amazing blend of soft rock and pop music and has truly meaningful and impressive lyrics that encourage listeners to visualize a new peaceful world with no obstacles of boundaries or differences of nationalities and religions.

“Here Comes the Sun” – The Beatles

A remarkable musical presentation from 1969, the pop rock track “Here Comes the Sun” still stands higher every time a chart of top songs of all time is made. It first emerged on “Abbey Road”, landing a positive reputation to The Beatles in 1969.  Besides some other tracks of the album like “Something”, this song embraces one of the best compositions from the band.

“Chakra # 4” – Fresh Aire 7

Grammy Award winner for Best New Age album, Fresh Aire 7 has many hits that still captivate young ears. “Chakra # 4”, however, is the one that remains unforgettable and cannot be out from my collection of top songs of all time. It comes with soothing and evocative feelings at the same time, evoking emotions direct from your heart.

“Going to Another Place” - FAII

Holding a special ovation in top songs of all time, this song is a recapitulation of an iconic theme introduced by Mannheim Streamroller in the Fantasia segment of the album. “Going to another place” reminds listeners of the pleasure that encircles around a long-predicted journey.  The song delivers a perfect piece of the signature primitive rock-n-roll of the Mannheim Streamroller and includes a decent conclusion to the melodic journey for the entire album.

“One” – Metallica

It’s certainly something amazing on the rollercoaster of top songs of all time thanks to its amazing, appealing and moving melodies.  “One” possesses powerful and meaningful lyrics, captivating music, and rich voice of Metallica, showing the band at their best. Even though there is some darkness being delivered through the song, real music fans do feel themselves imprisoning the absolute horror of life and death. All in all, “one” is something beyond epic.

“What a Wonderful World” – Louis Daniel Armstrong

Grammy award winner, “What a wonderful world” is one of the greatest songs of Louis Daniel Armstrong. Co-written by George David Weiss and George Douglas, this traditional pop song was a big solo hit that topped most pop charts in the UK in 1967. The lyrics of the song give a melodic soul to the world, wings to the brain, and a life to everything around.  Thanks to all required elements of a great song, “What a wonderful world” has a privilege to stand at different positions in different musical charts of the United Kingdom for years.
