Stevie Wonder Visits Aretha Franklin

Aretha Franklin was visited by her longtime friend, Stevie Wonder at her home in Detroit as she struggles with ill health.
The Respect hitmaker is currently fighting for her life. Her publicist, Gwendolyn Quinn revealed to US Weekly that the legend, Stevie Wonder stopped by and spent some time with the singer.
The 76-year-old star was reportedly working on an original collaboration with Stevie Wonder last summer for her new album. However, it’s not known whether the song was completed or not before her deteriorating health condition.
It was not only Franklin’s old friend who visited her. Rather, her ex-husband also checked in with her on Tuesday morning. Glynn Turman was married to the Queen of Soul from 1978 to 1984. About the singer’s condition, he revealed that she was seriously ill and was surrounded by her family members. Civil rights activist Reverend Jesse Jackson also paid her a visit.
Tom Franklin, Aretha’s nephew, told People.com that she and her family are being positive about her recovery and they believe that she’ll pull through it.
Ever since the news of Aretha’s illness hit the headlines, many fans and celebrities have been sending their wishes for her speedy recovery. Beyonce and JAY-Z dedicated their On the Run II tour show to the music icon as they performed in the singer’s hometown, Detroit.
Aretha has struggled with various health woes and even had a tumor removed. Her most recent performance was last November for the Elton John AIDS Foundation in New York.
