Christina Aguilera made her comeback on tour on 25th of September 2018. The first thing that the singer did was to stage a gay couple’s engagement on stage.
She
treated her fans to a night of love with heartfelt surprises and
messages being passed around in her opening concert in Miami,
Florida. Perhaps the highlight of the event was when one gay fan was
called on stage by the popstar who then proposed to his long time
significant other while Christina sang Unless It’s You in the
background.
Before
calling the couple on stage, the singer announced that something
special was about to go down. On entering the stage, the pair, Ben
and Rick thanked her for being an inspiration for them both.
Christina then revealed that one of the two had once volunteered on
her tour of Back to Basics and listening to her songs, as he said,
was what had gotten him through tough times in his life.
The night was emotional for her fans and
the singer, herself. During the show, Christina broke down in a pool
of tears confessing how much she had missed touring. But, she did not
regret taking time off for she had wanted to be an attentive and
available mother for her children. She did not want them to think
that her singing took priority over them and so, had decided to take
a break from touring to spend time with them. The singer claimed that
she had to return because music is her destiny.
