The former One Direction star, Louis Tomlinson, has confirmed his role as a judge on The X Factor U.K, and will be joining Robbie Williams, Ayda Field and Simon Cowell on this year’s judging panel.
However,
some of his fans feared that it would mean the end of his flourishing
solo career which has produced some hits including Back to You and
Just Hold On. To reassure his fans, the British singer took on
twitter, hours after the new line up was announced. He told his fans
to not worry about his debut solo album, which is still his priority.
He
also went on to thank everyone for the support they have given him so
far and told them that being in The X Factor will not affect his
music but will actually help him.
He
shared his reasons for accepting the position as well. Since he came
from The X Factor, it made a lot of sense for him to go back there.
He’s also really interested in mentoring which is again, one of the
reasons he’s taking up the position of a judge.
The
26 year old starred on the reality show alongside former band members
Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik in 2010 and now
he’s heading back to the place where his career began. Niall took
to twitter to tell Louis how delighted he was by the news of his
former band mate going back home to The X Factor as a judge.
