Ariana Grande Cancels Vietnam Concert citing ‘Health Problems’

Health issues have forced Ariana Grande to cancel a concert she was having in Vietnam. The singer was set to perform on Wednesday, 23rd August at the Quan khu 7 Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City. The concert was part of her world tour Dangerous woman, but she was forced to pull out of the gig due to doctors’ orders. Ariana shared the news with her fans through Instagram stories and apologized for cancelling at the last minute. However, the singer didn’t specify exactly what she was suffering from.

Speaking to her fans in Vietnam, she said that she was really sorry but she was dealing with some health issues currently. The singer said that she had been very excited about performing in Vietnam, but the doctors had forbidden her. She added that there wasn’t anything she could do, but would try her best to make it up to the people in the future. Ariana then thanked everyone and asked for understanding.

While she will not hold her concert in Vietnam, the 24-year-old is expected to follow the rest of the schedule. This means that the concert she has on Saturday in Beijing, China and the one on Monday in Shanghai will go forward as planned. Apart from these, Ariana also has some other big concerts scheduled as part of her tour in notable cities throughout Australia and New Zealand in early September. The singer has been on the road since February of this year and started things off in Phoenix, Arizona.

She only took a short break and that too because of the terrorist incident in Manchester Arena, England after the end of her concert on 22nd May. Explosives had been detonated by a suicide bomber in the foyer of the Arena, which had led to the deaths of 22 people and caused a number of injuries to others. Meanwhile, the singer has stayed active on social media. On Tuesday, she shared a link to a video clip on her Twitter page to an episode of Apple Music’s Carpool Karaoke: The Series. She performed with the comedian Seth MacFarlane.
