Madonna will Honor Prince at Billboards Music Awards 2016

At the 2016 Billboard Music Awards, the Queen of Pop will pay homage to Prince, another member of music royalty. It was announced by organizers today that Madonna will be participating in what is possibly going to be a highlight of this year’s Billboard Music Awards. Prince passed away unexpectedly at the age of 57 on April 21st. The legendary pop singer will be paying tribute to her fellow artist and good friend. Details about her tribute to late music great are being kept under wraps and being heavily guarded.

However, there is no mystery shrouding the other performances that have been lined up for the Billboards Music Awards 2016. The likes of DNCE, Justin Bieber, Pink, Troye Sivan, Shawn Mendes, Fifth Harmony, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Celine Dion and The Go-Go’s will be taking the stage. Furthermore, a collaboration with Tove Lo and Nick Jonas has also been confirmed. The ICON Award will also be presented to Celine Dion. The Weeknd may also have a big weekend as the Canadian hitmaker has been nominated in 16 categories about 19 times.

This year’s ceremony will be held on May 22nd, Sunday in the TMobile Arena in Las Vegas. Dick Clark productions is producing the ceremony and will be hosted by first-time host Ciara and Billboards Music Awards veteran Ludacris.
