Salena Gomez delivered a passionate speech to the crowd present at the arena of American Music Awards after she was given the prize in the category of best female Pop/Rock Artist over the last weekend.
The arrival of the singer at the ceremony was a surprise to almost all guests as her attendance was least expected for the award show that took place in Los Angeles. Her arrival on the red carpet also marked her first appearance in public after she had discarded her world tour in June. It is worth mentioning that Salena Gomez is suffering from Lupus which according to her has been challenging for her. She has joined a rehab center to help herself with the autoimmune disorder, and that's why reason, she did not continue with her tour.
The "come and get it" hit-maker stunned everyone with her gorgeousness, and looked very attractive in red long gown at the gala. She looked tanned, delighted and even healthy onstage when she was there to receive the trophy. Salena was spotted holding back tears when she was given the opportunity to address to her audience.
The crowd at the Microsoft Theatre was seen emotional when the super star began to deliver her speech. She said two years back this stage was the first thing where she was genuinely 100 percent honest with the audience. And she thinks she has no issues to say that the most of audience knows a lot about her life irrespective of the fact that she likes it or not.
Salena Gomez discontinued her Australia tour and registered herself in Arizona's the Meadow facility to get professional medical care. It was the same place where she also underwent various sessions of chemotherapy. Then earlier this year in August, Salena made a public announcement of taking a blurred break from her music career so that she can fully focus on her health.
Addressing to her fans the 24 -year-old says she had to discontinue her tour as she had everything except health. She felt she was absolutely broken from inside. Salena said she had been trying to keep it all together and had decided she wouldn't let her fans down and she did keep it too much together where she allowed it to let herself down.
The singer thanked the American Music Awards for giving her the opportunity to share what she loves every single day with those she loves. She said no one should have stayed broken. Instead, they must try to come out of it.
The awards ceremony saw many big stars receiving the trophies for their amazing talent including Salena's former boyfriend Justin Bieber, Rihanna, and her rumored love Drake.
Drake broke the previous record of holding maximum nominations with 13 nodes and won 3 awards while shared a fourth--one with Rihanna who also beat Beyonce for Album of the year award.
Justin Bieber won the most awards at the ceremony. He was selected for five categories and successfully won four of them.
