Rihanna Calls Off Her Nice Show In Wake Of Deadly Attack
The Barbadian singer Rihanna has called off her live performance in the French city after the deadly terror attack in the country. She was scheduled to do a concert in Nice, France tonight.
France in under frequent terror attacks since last year. Yesterday’s terror attack once again shocked everyone who loves to live peacefully. It was a celebration night when country lovers were gathered to celebrate France’s national day in Nice and a wild driver plowed a truck onto civilians on the sidewalk. He killed many people including children and kept driving over their bodies for a mile ahead.
Chrisitian Estrosi who is Regional President, Nice told the media that the terrorist exhibited a complete premeditated behavior. The attack slaughtered 84 people and harmed over 100 people. Furthermore, the police found lots of grenades and weapons. The driver was also shot by the security officials after he had butchered innocent civilians.
Rihanna was in Nice when the terrifying incident took place. Her spokesperson later confirmed that the 28-year-old singer is safe.
Like other celebrities, Rihanna also mourns on the horrifying attack on the innocent people in the French city and that’s the reason, she is axing a scheduled concert which was an important part of her tour. She signed in to her Instagram account and announced she was cancelling the concert. She wrote her message alongside a photo of a France’s flag in a heart shape.
Rihanna wrote that she has to cancel her concert which was to take place at Allianz Stadium on 15th July 2016 due to horrifying event in the capital. She added her sincere thoughts are with the victims and their families.
The pop star whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty is now going to perform in Germany where her gig is scheduled in Frankfurt’s Commerzbank-Arena after 2 days.
Apart from Rihanna’s concert in Nice, some other events like Nice Jazz Festival which were due to take place in the coming week have been abandoned following the attacks. The cancellation of festival was announced by the President of French’s PACA region, Mr.Estrosi.
Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are also in France for their film shooting these days. Not to mention, “50 Shades of Grey” is the film which is being recorded in France and both the stars are doing its third installment. Dana Brunetti who is the producer of the movie confirmed that all crew members of the project are safe.
They wrote on social media and also conveyed the message through media saying everyone who is involved in Fifty Shades of Grey is safe and fine. They are shooting some beautiful locations in the France. The producer thanked everyone who was concerned for their safety. Also, he wrote he has accounted all and they are safe and sound.
In addition, many entertainment world celebrities also expressed their sentiments over the attack and prayed for the victims. Boy George took Twitter.com to express his sentiments and wrote he was shocked to hear it. Cyndi Lauper wrote she was mourned for innocent people killed in the attack.
