Fans of Madonna took to Twitter saying that the singer ‘appeared drunk’ on the stage as she made an emotional dedication to Rocco, her estranged son. She told Melbourne’s crowd that she had never drinks when singing, but she was going to do it now. The 57-year-old singer is embroiled in a legal battle with Guy Ritchie, her ex-husband, over the couple’s 15-year-old son.
Madonna began her performance four hours late and she was seen drinking cocktails in sight of a bemused audience. She got the dancers to deliver her a drink onstage and asserted that she wasn’t drunk. She broke down in tears at one stage, but there were also some comedy and funny moments. The crowd was left confused when she rode a baby tricycle around the stage.
