With less than a week left until the premiere of the country singer’s new music video for her vengeful album ‘Bad Blood’, Taylor Swift has been frequently teasing her fans with character posters that have a Sin City-esque touch. These posters are of the famous faces that will also star with the singer in the video. The 25-year-old singer recruited some of her numerous BFFs for this project and put together a group of some really badass ladies.
Each of these celebrities boast a unique femme fatale alter ego, which, as per the tweets of the 1989 hitmaker, they selected themselves. The singer’s Bad Blood persona is Catastrophe, with a lot of emphasis on ‘Cat’. The ‘Style’ singer’s poster was the first to be revealed on May 7th and shows the star staring down at the camera wearing a sexy leather motorcycle jacket and some exceptional eye makeup. The video will make its debut on May 17th at the Billboards Music Awards and was directed by Joseph Kahn, who had previously worked with the singer on ‘Blank Space’.
The leading ladies that will be part of the music video include Lily Aldridge as Frostbyte, Hayley Williams as The Crimson Curse, Zendaya as Cut-throat, Ellie Goulding as Destructa X, Gigi Hadid as Slay-Z, Lena Dunham as Lucky Fiori, Hailee Steinfield as The Trinity, Serayah Love as Dilemma and Karlie Kloss as Knockout. There is also at least one male in the video, whose poster was unveiled on May 11th. According to the singer’s Twitter, Kendrick Lamar will show up as Welvin Da Great.
However, there is definitely one star who will not have a role; Katy Perry. As confirmed by sources, Bad Blood was written by Swift regarding the ongoing rivalry between her and the ‘Roar’ singer. Both Perry and Swift dated John Mayer so it was rumored that this had something to do with the issue between them. But, the Blank Space singer made it clear that their beef wasn't personal and it was not about a guy at all.
In fact, she said that the problem was completely professional because Katy Perry did something very horrible, which made them enemies. She said that the singer had tried to sabotage an entire arena tour and hire her (Swift’s) people, but as she doesn't like conflict and confrontations, she tries to stay away from Perry and avoid her as much as possible.
