Kygo on the Road to World Domination

Right now, the biggest breaking star in the world is Kygo. Even more exciting is the fact that the 24 year-old Norwegian global sensation is on the course to becoming the fastest artist to have achieved the milestone of one billion streams.

Firestone, his current single that features Conrad, has become a permanent fixture in the top ten in UK and has already gong silver with about 200,000 sales. The upcoming single of the new star titled ‘Stole the Show’ has already become a global top 20 hit. Earlier this month, the Mojave tent had been closed by Kygo at Coachella on both weekends.

Kygo is streamed about 3 million times daily and he has been streamed worldwide about 225 million times on Spotify. For the last month, the Norwegian singer has been top 3 UK Shazam and next Tuesday, he will do a Radio 1 live lounge with guest vocalists Parson James and Conrad.

His remix of ‘I see Fire’, an Ed Sheeran track, gave Kygo prominence and he had previously remixed ‘Midnight’ by ColdPlay after he had been asked by Chris Martin. He was born in Bergen, Norway, and is a classically trained artist who has been playing the piano since he was six years old.

At the age of 24, the singer is already an accomplished producer and DJ. An album is expected to be released in autumn whereas fans can expect a new EP to be released this summer. Anticipation continues to be high as the star moves full speed ahead on the road to world domination.
